Paper Cutting

As a group we are interested in how most miniature work requires a lot of skill and time to produce and therefore we wanted to use techniques ourselves that require this. We thought about embroidery, drawing and paper cutting, each requiring a lot of time and skill to produce a detailed, miniature sample.

I've started looking into paper cutting and I came across these pieces which I think are really fun and quirky; creating tiny paper-cut scenes using light to enhance their silhouettes. They have a nice sense of depth about them too!

Although these aren't all miniature, it's the level of skill involved and the time taken that intrigues us and links them to the miniature theme.
