Chris Maynard has created a flock of birds, as he
wanted to use his passion for nature becomes the main source of inspiration
with his ‘featherfolio’ work. He carefully sculpts mini dioramas of flighted
creatures from feathers, which he uses for his canvas. I love how he has
spanned the ways that we artists discipline art. I really feel like he has
shown the feathers in a completely different light that shifts its focus off
the bird. I see them as quite 3-dimensional with the merging of the colours,
forms and shapes.
