Joe Iurato creates wooden stencil art, for which he
downsizes to turn them into miniature art and places them in notable places in
New York City. His inspiration comes from his own life experiences for which he
relates to the public’s resonance.
I love the contrasting
elements that he has made public for example, the puddle could replicate a
lake, a crack in a cement wall could replicate a tremdous climb, a curb or
window ledge could represent a void and a shadow might be a tangible space.
