Peter Callesen works with white
paper to create objects, paper cuts, installations and performances. He
transforms ordinary sheets of paper into playful sculptures, people, animals
and nature motifs. I have always seen that a white sheet of paper as being
something that anyone can relate to and see a different meaning towards it. I
love the aesthetic nature of the paper as I see his sculptures as having a
sense of frailty that underlines his themes. His collections explore probable
and magical transformation of a flat sheet of paper into figures that can
expand into the space that is surrounding them.
