As a group we decided that we would like to take the paper cutting idea in the tubes further.
We wanted to put our own spin on the idea though rather than copying too closely; so we each decided to take on our own 'subject/theme' and technique. These would then be made into something miniature and put inside tubes.
We like the idea of the light shining through the tubes and projecting the objects inside onto a wall. We think it will be interesting to see the change of scale from miniature to large scale and whether it will change the way the objects are viewed and perceived. Something that at first sight looks very large but when you look into the tubes you see all the detail and how small the objects actually are.
Are objects any more or less significant when on a miniature scale?
Do we find the miniature or large scale more appealing? and why would this be?
can perception of scale be altered?
does projection change how an image/object is viewed?
